Issue scavenger hunt

As a class we realize that we all cherish,

• FAITH and freedom of religion
• Family and friends
• Freedom of speech
• equality for all

After lengthy discussion today we came up with some issues to choose from....

• No place for HATE initiative: as a class we feel that ACTION should be taken to make sure that we come together as a community. It is not enough to declare ourselves as no place for hate campus, but we would like to see "things" happen to make it a true no place for HATE.
• Obesity: We feel that kids today are facing a serious health risk. Playing video games and watching TV instead of being physically active. Also, fast life leads to fast food and therefore poor nutrition choices. Cafeteria food is not always healthy. We feel that Physical education class should be offered everyday and not once a week, also health day is needed to raise awareness among unsuspecting kids.
• Poverty: All kids created equal, and should have equal access to food, water, and shelter.
• Economic crisis: job security for all. encourage small businesses
• Respect - Equal treatment for all. Kids using inappropriate language. Bullying.
• Animal abuse: testing on animals. Animal rights should be protected. we feel that we need to advocate for animals, and make sure they are treated fairly.
• Crime: We feel that Safety is important to us in our community.
